Six cylinders serve up the power in the CDI diesel engine available for the new M-Class model. Despite its hushed running characteristics, this unit delivers exemplary performance while still being frugal with the fuel. Plus, it comes standard with a diesel particulate filter.
The sheer motoring pleasure offered by the ML320 CDI stems from third-generation common-rail direct injection technology. With a maximum power output of 221 hp, 398 lb-ft of peak torque, a top speed of 215 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 8.6 seconds,1 this model has all the right credentials for driving miles upon miles, without eating up excessive amounts of fuel.
