The R320 BlueTEC 4MATIC

When it comes to power, the R-Class' standout BlueTEC diesel engine has plenty to say, generating a remarkable 210 hp and attaining a massive torque figure of 400 lb-ft at an incredibly low rpm range, between 1,600 and 2,400. It's all thanks to the innovative common-rail diesel technology, featuring precisely controlled direct fuel injection that helps to minimize lag and an advanced turbocharger to optimize available boost at all times.

Equipped with environmentally-friendly, next generation BlueTEC technology, this diesel engine also meets the world's toughest exhaust emission regulations, while AdBlue injection, employing both the common-rail direct injection principle and a special particulate filter, makes it one of the world's cleanest diesel SUVs - eliminating more than 80 per cent of nitrous oxide emissions.
