Overview

Key Features
Performance
320 HP V8
320 HP V8 It is the most formidable engine Infiniti has ever built: a 5.6-litre V8 that exerts stake-in-the-ground 320 HP and 393 lb-ft of torque. An engine designed to stand up to the force it exudes, with a reinforced aluminum block and a crankshaft of forged steel. Even the oil pan is crafted with structural aluminum.

All-Mode 4WD
Conditions change. Infiniti All-Mode 4WD adjusts. In AUTO mode the system continually fine-tunes the distribution of torque between front and rear wheels to maintain its handle on the road. The system also has settings for 2WD, 4WD High, and 4WD Low for high torque needs, such as hauling a heavy boat up a steep ramp.

Towing Capacity
The QX56 hauls more than any SUV in its class: up to 4,037kg (8,900 lbs). This capacity comes from its truck-based chassis, lower gear ratios, and auto-leveling rear suspension that adjusts for the added weight of a trailer and cargo. And it even achieves up to 18.2 litre per 100 kilometers (16 miles per gallon), equaling the best highway fuel consumption in its class.

Interior
Driver & Passenger Comfort
Three rows of personalized comfort and abundance. From the 10-way power driver's seat to the three separate climate zones and spacious seating, each passenger is immersed in an environment designed for control and ease.

Climate Control
Dual zones allow the driver and front passenger to control their own climate areas. There's also a separate climate zone with dedicated controls for rear occupants. Heated first-and second-row seats provide even more comfort in an already warm and inviting atmosphere.

Refined Appointments
A design of modern precision and tactile richness awaits. Genuine brushed aluminum. Soft, supple leather. Two unique, straight-grain woods. These materials combine to give an impression of lightness or depth to match your personal taste.

Versatile Cargo Area
With the second-and third-row seats folded down and the second-row center console removed, the QX56 gives you a flat load surface big enough to accommodate 2750 litres (97.1 cubic feet) of cargo. It also includes a fold-forward front passenger seat and a 60/40-split power folding third-row seat for maximum flexibility.

Technology
Infiniti DVD Entertainment System
The QX56 is part concert hall and part Cineplex®. Listen to the Bose® audio system, enjoy premium CD audio quality, and give rear passengers the option of watching a DVD on the Infiniti DVD Entertainment System. It's like having box seats for the performance of your choice.

RearView Monitor
For greater confidence before backing up, the standard RearView Monitor uses a camera to help you see what's directly behind you in real time. Meanwhile, colored guidelines help you gauge how much room you have.

Infiniti Navigation System
Finding your way has never been easier. The Infiniti Navigation System links to GPS satellites and then displays directions in overhead map view or from an elevated, patented Birdview™ 3-D perspective. The high quality display offers vibrant, easy-to-read graphics, and the option to view a split-screen map.

Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System
Climb into the QX56, and the onboard Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System is immediately and seamlessly linked to your compatible cell phone. Steering wheel-mounted controls allow access to phone numbers, and you can make and take calls without removing your hands from the wheel.

Intelligent Cruise Control
It's like cruise control, only smarter, giving you greater peace of mind when cruising. This sophisticated system uses computerized laser-based sensors to monitor the distance of the vehicle traveling directly ahead. If traffic slows, the system automatically decelerates and/or brakes to maintain a preset following distance. When traffic ahead clears, your preset cruising speed is resumed.

Safety
Advanced Air Bag System
Dual-stage supplemental front airbags, with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor, adjust their inflation rate depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. If the front passenger's seat is employ, a sensor will deactivate the airbag. Side-impact supplemental airbags are placed in front seat side bolsters so they can move with the seat to help maintain optimal positioning. Roof-mounted curtain supplemental airbags deploy from the headliner above the side windows, helping to give outboard occupants in all three rows enhanced protection in the case of a side impact or rollover. Tied to the vehicle's rollover and side-impact sensors, they are designed to help offer protection even in multiple rollovers.

Rollover Sensor
The QX56 is equipped with a sensor that can help detect an impending rollover. If one is deemed imminent, the system deploys the side-curtain bags to help provide enhanced occupant protection.

Advanced Braking Technologies
In emergency braking situations, some drivers may not brake hard enough, soon enough. Brake Assist monitors how you apply the brakes and, sensing emergency braking, works with the ABS system to apply maximum brake pressure for potentially shorter stops.
Brake Assist with the Preview uses the QX56's Intelligent Cruise Control sensors to monitor vehicles ahead. If it senses rapidly closing distances to vehicles in the same lane, it automatically pre-pressurizes the braking system in anticipation of emergency braking, potentially improving the system's response to sudden driver input.

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
Acting in tandem with the Traction Control System, VDC compares actual vehicle cornering performance to the driver's input, reducing engine output and/or applying appropriate brake pressure to individual wheels to help correct oversteer or understeer, helping to keep the vehicle on the steered path.
